AVTZL 1 : 2 Days Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1 – Arusha / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro

We leave Arusha early for a mid-morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park which is approximately two and a half hours away. After lunch at a lodge overlooking the Lake down below, continue up the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in the late afternoon at a spectacular Lodge situated on the rim over looking the Crater. Dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an 8,920 sq. Km conservation area situated between Arusha and Serengeti with Ngorongoro Crater at its heart. The floor of the Crater, a vast natural amphitheatre, teems with game – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, wildebeest, gazelle and Zebra share the base of this collapsed volcano with Maasai tribesmen and their herds of cattle. Birds hover and dart, with thousands flamingo casting a pink haze over the lake on the crater floor; all seen against the majestic backdrop of the crater walls – the ‘eight wonder of the world’ according to some authorities.

Day 2 - Ngorongoro / Arusha

Breakfast at your lodge as you watch the sun rise over the rim of the crater. Depart thereafter to descend into the crater floor for our crater tour with picnic lunches. After lunch we ascend the crater wall and return to Arusha town by early evening. Drop-off at your hotel
