AVL 5: 3½ Days Amboseli/Tsavo/Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi/Amboseli

Leaving Nairobi in the morning, we drive south via the Kenya / Tanzania border post of Namanga to Amboseli National Park at the foot of snow capped Mt Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter, an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge – Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar (depending on availability and your preferred choice).

Day 2: Amboseli

A full day in Amboseli with game drives, all meals and overnight at your lodge as above.

Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts - lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle, hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

Day 03: Amboseli / Tsavo West

Leave after breakfast and drive out of Amboseli (viewing game as you go) to the nearby Tsavo West National Park. Enjoy a mid morning game drive as you head to Kilaguni Serena Lodge for lunch and thereafter, an afternoon game drive returning to your hotel at dusk for dinner and overnight

Day 04: Tsavo West / Nairobi

An early morning game drive in Tsavo West is followed by breakfast at Kilaguni and thereafter, return to Nairobi to arrive late in the afternoon (Kindly note that: lunch on this day is NOT included in the package deal unless otherwise arranged – we can help you arrange this on request)
